INGREDIENTS
1 cup warm water
2 teaspoons sugar
Pinch of salt
Active Yeast – 2 teaspoons of sugar and yeast is as per manufacturers directions to the ration of flour but generally 1/2 teaspoon.
2 cups flour
METHOD
Put 1 cup of warm water into a bowl add two teaspoons of sugar and a pinch of salt, add active yeast and put aside for 15 minutes.
Preheat oven to 220 degrees
After 15 minutes bubbles will have formed on top of warm water then add two cups of flour, mix into a dough then place a cloth over the bowl and put aside in a warm spot for 1 – 2 hours.
When the dough has doubled in size place it into a greased oven-proof bowl and place into oven for 15 minutes then turn oven down to 200 degrees for another 15 minutes.
